Aniya Newton

Education

Aniya graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 2021. She is currently attending Kellogg Community College, pursuing an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Experience

Aniya has experience working with children/youth from various backgrounds, with social/emotional and mental health disorders. Through personal and professional experiences, Aniya has discovered that flexibility and vulnerability are blueprints for building rapport with children/youth and protecting their ego. She’s learned that the key to success with at-risk youth is in opening their heart first, but before this can happen, their ego must feel safe with her. Knowing this, Aniya strives to be a positive role model for all children/youth she engages with.
