Stomp the Stigma is an event that creates a platform to bring awareness to teens, parents, educators, advocates, and the Black and Brown communities, nationwide, that will illuminate the mental health experiences of teen culture.

UrbanZone is a youth-driven center that serves to empower the youth within the Kalamazoo area. UrbanZone desires to make a crucial impact by providing opportunities that are inclusive to the youth in our community.
Programs of the center focus on:

Mind Health Ambassadors
Orientation Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 5 p.m. at UrbanZone
We are now recruiting brown and black students to be Mind Health Ambassadors.

Recruitment for Phase II starts May

For people of color, there are many barriers to accessing mental health care. Valarie Cunningham’s Synergy Health Center works to overcome them.
