Regulating the nervous system is key to lowering stress, blood pressure, anxiety and reducing depression. Doing yoga helps regulate the nervous system. This morning our Ambassadors got to put the tools they have learned in this program (breath, meditation and movement) into practice at Intentional Yoga Studio.
Devon, Owner of Intentional Yoga led our group through a 2 hour workshop that included a special sequence of postures that balance the nervous system and taught us the ‘Physiological Sigh’ a special pattern of breathing proven to reduce anxiety and stress. Thank you to Devon at Intentional Yoga in Portage, MI for extending such a warm welcome to our group, of which 90% had never stepped foot in a yoga studio. We are breaking the stigma, one experience at a time.
